Charles Fillmore Comments On Quakers

NOTES AND COMMENTS

By Charles Fillmore

Is Unity a branch of the Society of Friends, popularly known as the Quaker church?—Extract from a letter received by Unity School.

UNITY is not a branch of the Quaker church. Unity is a school of religious inquiry, investigation, and demonstration. We study and apply Christianity in its broadest meaning. Our research has convinced us that Christianity combines in a practical way more truth of man’s spiritual being than does any other religion. In fact, Christianity is the youngest and most up-to-date religion that has been evolved by mankind.

The Quaker church stands very high among the sects of Christianity. It has maintained a unique and impregnable place in the Christian religion, because of its reliance on the “Inner Light,” instead of on written authority, for the guidance of its adherents.

Quakers are universally credited with honesty, justice, and peaceableness. No religion of modern times has so stamped its tenets upon its people as has the Quaker religion. Quakers seem to have an ingrained spirituality. With most persons religion is one thing and daily life is quite another. Usually in modern Christian civilization a man’s religion cannot be detected by his costume or his conduct. Quakers are the exception. By this we mean orthodox Quakers. Reformed Quakers have their up-to-date churches and are hardly distinguishable from other Christians. But old-time Quakers, who silently seek the “Inner Light” and are moved by the Spirit within in all their ways, are a “peculiar people.” They are peculiar because they are so steadfast in their reliance on the indwelling God as the moving factor of their lives. They are noted as a dependable people because they rely on the immanent God for inspiration and conduct. This reliance develops individuality and poise. It sometimes tends to too much self-sufficiency, but never to intolerance. A Quaker is often blunt in stating his opinions, but he allows others the same privilege.

The practice of silent prayer is fundamental in the Quaker religion. In this respect Jesus was a Quaker. He told His disciples that when they prayed they should enter into the inner closet, close the door, and pray to the Father in secret. He said, “The words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.” Jesus told His followers that they would be tempted to follow false spiritual lights from outer sources. “Neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Jesus taught that the Scriptures are not authority for man but that they tell of the Christ within man. He said to the Pharisees, “Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me; and ye will not come to me, that ye may have life.”

George Fox, the founder of the Society of Friends, or Quakers, once rose in one of the principal English churches and rebuked the minister in his sermon for declaring the Scriptures to be the source of divine truth. “No,” cried Fox, “it is not the Scriptures; it is the Spirit of God.” He was immediately imprisoned for his audacity.

Unity’s interpretation of Christianity is much like that of George Fox, which is not original but quite in harmony with the teaching of Jesus.

There is a very pronounced revival of interest in the Quaker religion since the nomination of Herbert Hoover for President. In this connection The Kansas City Star recently printed the following editorial, “The Inner Light”:

Herbert Hoover is a Quaker. He was born of Quaker stock. He regularly attends services at the little ivy-covered meeting house of the Friends on I street in Washington. The Quaker doctrine, which he drank in throughout his boyhood, is evident in the social and political philosophy of Hoover the states man.

That doctrine centers about the teaching of the “Inner Light.” George Fox, who established the Society of Friends in England in the seventeenth century, was the promulgator of this teaching. “I saw,” he wrote, “that the grace of God which brings salvation had appeared to all men and that the manifestation of the Spirit was given to every man to profit withal.” Again Fox wrote, “The Lord opened to me how every man was enlightened by the divine light of Christ.”

The Quaker needs no intermediary to approach the throne of grace. He approaches it through the witness of the Inner Light. So in the Quaker service there is a period of silence while each worshiper is communing with the Unseen. Then various members testify as they are “moved by the spirit.”

Here is the very essence of individualism. The soul has its own revelation from on high. It is not dependent on church or minister. Divine guidance floods in on it, directs it, comforts and sustains.

In his theory of business and of social progress, Hoover is imbued with this sort of reverence for the individual. The future of America, he has said, depends on the initiative and resourcefulness of the individual. Any policy that weakens that initiative and resourcefulness he instinctively distrusts. Society cannot save us, he says in effect; government cannot save us. Each of us must work out his own salvation. We must cultivate the Inner Light and be guided by it.

This belief runs through all his writings and actions. His little book, “American Individualism,” expressing his fundamental philosophy of life, is inspired by it. Should he be elected President the Quaker influence would be dominant in the nation—the doctrine of individual responsibility, developing the individual to his highest capacity, guided by the flame that burns within.

* * * * * * * *

I shared this here because it gives us insight on how Charles describes what Unity is about. It also gives an inside view of President Hoover’s faith as well as what the Quakers believed. Charles also shared his political beliefs here and there without being obvious.

In my view, the presidential race began as soon as it was over in 2020 by one individual unofficially running again with rallies until they finally declared their candidacy this year. For me, it feels like there has been no respite from the presidential election. Normally things settle down and the new president does their best to run the country with their cabinet and support from congress.

One of my take aways from this article is that it is not up to the president or government to solve the problems. It’s up to each of us to take responsibility through our faith or philosophy or whatever we use to govern our lives, and resolve the problems together.

I might read Hoover’s book mentioned above, also.

Conspiracy Theory or Truth?

Since I became a student of the Unity teachings 36 years ago, over half of my life, I have learned about the power that lies in the words that I use. As I may have mentioned before, I began to change my life one word at a time, one sentence at a time, to a new thought. This slowly transformed my life. We can only change ourselves, no one else. However, one can be an example inspiring another by living their truth that works for them.

The word Truth means a fact that has been proven with data. A theory is a group of ideas that logically explain an independent idea and isn’t proven. For example, the idea that Trump won the presidency couldn’t be proven. There was no empirical data to support it. This brings us to the word conspiracy. This means that a group of powerful people agree to work together in secret and create a plan or event that will cause an end to something. This will only benefit the conspirators and not us.

How I tell Truth over conspiracy theory is the way it feels in my gut and heart. Trust and honesty play a big role of course. If the Truth of someone else that is shared with me, causes me to feel fear (false evidence appearing real) then I need to stop giving those words power in my mind and life. In essence, a conspiracy theory does not have a happy outcome. So why would I want to buy the book about a shadowland and fill my head with ideas that lead to a crummy ending?

Truth tends to be for the highest and best for all concerned. It is above board and feels good. Sure, not all facts make one feel good, but they are proven reality and don’t feel icky. To be clear, I am not creating a duality of Truth vs Conspiracy Theory. They just happen to be opposites which is the definition of duality of course.

Moving to Metaphysics, Truth means The Absolute, or God, the information we receive directly from Source. It is unconditional and unlimited information with infinite access. It is pure and it has been proven when one acts upon what they receive and has results in real time that are for the highest and best for all concerned.

Why show the contrast between Truth and conspiracy? I felt it was important to discuss it because there is so much about conspiracy theories in the news. A while back in my life, I weighed the value of my time and decided that I would be more conscious of what I spent it on. There is so much out there that can consume my time and I can unconsciously fill it or waste it. I haven’t done it perfectly yet.

Leading with and from Love, responding with Love, and seeing it unfold in love. Instead of a crummy icky ending, life moves forward enfolded in Love and continues on a higher plane of existence.

A Transcendent Easter Practice

A month ago, we had a speaker, Fred Brancato, who wrote the book, “Mystery and Manifestation: Reflections on Life Experience Beyond Ideology, Theology, and Belief Systems.” who spoke about having a transcendent experience and some ways he believes one can achieve it. (See
revairin.wordpress.com/2023/03/27/god-incidences-and-divine-timing/  Meditation is the overarching key to creating it. A meditation practice builds that relationship with the Universe, or Love, or God, or what ever your name is for the one power and one presence. We all know that Jesus spent a lot of time in meditation and prayer.

Recently I listened to a talk by Eric Butterworth, who is a well-known Unity Minister. It is called The Easter Perspective in April of 1979, found here: https://www.truthunity.net/ebup/the-easter-perspective . Some of the ideas I will share here are from his talk. It amazed me that the same problems that he referred to in the world such as energy use, oil and Saudi Arabia, fires, etc. are still ongoing today.

The main question that he asks is how is celebrating Easter helpful for our challenges today in the world and in our personal lives. Mankind has been on a quest learning about himself from the search for the Holy Grail to now. Jesus was no different when he came into the world. He was a man on a quest who went through the temptations in the desert and always worked to rise above his challenges.

How was Jesus able to do that? As mentioned earlier, he had a meditation and prayer life that help him develop a relationship with God. He may have had other daily practices. A foundational one was pausing, lifting his eyes, and seeing beyond the appearance or problem, which was transcending the situation and seeing it from a higher perspective, naturally listening to God’s guidance in that moment.

Jesus told us that we have the same abilities that he had. Everyone can develop a relationship with God, listening for him in meditation and prayer without going to a priest and asking them to intercede for you. Jesus demonstrated that it was possible to have transcendent (God) experiences. Rev Eric Butterworth calls being in the tomb with our challenges such as accidents or firing from a job, “Tomb of Limitations” *. Many of us may work very hard to set things right and we are blocked with questions that we can’t answer.

“The need is not to set things right but to see it right and get it” * on a higher level of consciousness. We don’t need to know the how or why it happened, which is the natural path we take, “trying to know all the ins and outs of it.” * We want to see it rightly.

Butterworth pointed out that if you notice in the New Testament wherever Jesus performed a healing or multiplying the loaves and fishes, that he lifted his eyes up. He was seeing things from a higher perspective or consciousness and calling on God of course, having a transcendent view of things.

The Transcendent practice that rolls the stone away from the tomb of limitation can happen in this way. We are confronted with a problem that may have felt like a crucifixion (not all of them do). We pause and go within, lift our eyes, seeing from a higher perspective, affirming the new view that we are seeing with the eyes of God.

“Fundamentally, Jesus demonstrated for you and for me and for all persons who have eyes to see and ears to hear, that if we lift our eyes and look out the right window, we can see allness in illness, we can see all sufficiency in insufficiency, we can see full potentialities even in limitations, and we find the key to overcoming and the key to a victorious, transcendent life. This is what it’s all about.” *

This can be an everyday practice to become a Master of it like Jesus.

“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”                                                                                                          Albert Einstein

What is life to you?

Happy Kids Images - Free Download on Freepik

“I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service.        I served and I saw that service is joy.” — Kahlil Gibran

“Life is an echo. What you send out, comes back. What you sow, you reap. What you give, you get. What you see in others, exists in you. Remember, life is an echo.   It always gets back to you. So, give goodness.” —- Unknown

“Life is an adventure to be lived, not a problem to be solved” — Terry Brooks book

“Life is consciousness and relationship. The consciousness you                       show up in dictates how the relationship unfolds” — Airin’s credo

What is life to you? Have you thought about it as such? Maybe you have and there is a favorite quote or credo that inspires your life. Recently I was drawn to the first quote because I have experienced it. The happiness and joy quotes that I shared in one of my articles last month all apply, too. See: https://revairin.wordpress.com/2023/02/07/happiness-and-joy-quotes/

One of the quotes describes joy as a feeling which resonates for me. I’ve literally had a love or dislike relationship with joy. To use hate instead of dislike would be untrue and too strong of a descriptor. I have felt and experienced true hatred in my life toward and from another which was an incredibly horrible feeling on both sides that I never want to experience again. The ‘Life is an echo’ quote exemplifies that. We were both in love with the same woman and he was using emotional blackmail to get her to stay with him. This happened about 6 years before I discovered the teachings of Unity.

The good ending to the story was this woman saw through what he was doing and I had put everything on the line by giving her the straight scoop. This was one of the first times that I tried with every fiber of my being not to be attached to the outcome. In college at that time I was using the Terry Brooks quote above as a credo that I followed.

The quote came to me when I was talking with someone last week. When I look through the archives of my life, it has always been an adventure. I have taken risks and like my Aunt Nancy said once, “You have always landed on your feet, just like a cat.”

The main quote and some minor ones lasted me until finding Unity at age 27, as I have mentioned before and then I began reading Charles Fillmore, as his teachings had been organized into books. He cofounded Unity with his wife, Myrtle. When I graduated from Unity’s seminary, I used the ‘Life is consciousness…’ credo above that I developed from the teachings I had received. This continues to serve me like an umbrella over my life’s adventures.

Going back to where I began, the first quote ending with ‘service is joy’, relates to a promise that I made to myself after graduating from college and knowing that I would be working and earning my way in the world. No matter what my work was, I would make sure it was something I loved, and I have truly served in joy. (Little did I know that I had been feeling it all along, for a win, win!)

Conscious Awareness

How aware am I of how I show up in the world? I know that I am different now than when I was in my 20’s or even my 40’s. I remember when I turned 41. I had experienced significant financial losses from risks I had taken and still landed on my feet like a cat with nine lives. I had the safety net of the Unity teachings to support me and bail me out. I had learned early on at age 27 when I discovered Unity, that by changing my thoughts, one word at a time, one sentence at a time, that it changed my consciousness. This changed my life, one moment at a time.

From BlessingManifesting .com

When I look back, I like what each decade taught me. I liked my 40’s in particular because I had experienced enough of life that it gave me some wisdom to be more aware of how I showed up in the world and how to live while simultaneously I had so much more to experience and learn from the world. All of this contributed to my inner world, my spiritual journey with God as my copilot.

I have the opportunity when I am rounding at the hospital, to ask people how they are doing. I’ll ask, “how are you doing” or “how’s it going?” The replies are: “It’s going”, I’m good,” “living the dream,” or “I’m here.” It tells me a lot about their conscious awareness in that moment. How conscious is a person of how they are showing up in the moment? They may just be responding to be polite. If I ask it in a tone that uses inflection on certain words I might get more than “I’m good.” For example, “How are you doing?” This sometimes elicits more of a response because I am saying that I really want to know. Also emphasizing the word ‘doing.’ Not using any emphasis on words tends to give a pat answer or automatic response.

If it’s an employee I have cultivated a relationship with and they are having a rough day, they will say so. After they debrief, sometimes I will say, “Did you know that you can begin again in this moment and start your day over? Brush it off your shoulders and begin again in this moment.” It is a concept many haven’t heard of. I learned it from being involved at Unity.

How aware am I of how I show up in any given moment? I am not always conscious of how I am showing up. Since awareness is the other half of it. I have a credo I live by: Life is consciousness and relationship. The consciousness that I show up in dictates how the relationship unfolds. It serves me well and brings me back to my center of conscious awareness.

Thoughts to ponder for this week.

And the Birth

Christmas came and Christmas went, seemingly quicker than it took to arrive. The preparation for anything takes 95% of the time and then the rest gets completed in record time. I guess one could say that your first day of school or college is preparing for graduation. Ah, but the birth of a child is well worth the preparation.

Metaphysically, the birth of the Christ within us, is taking a deeper spiritual walk with Spirit during advent and aligning our consciousness as one with the One. Faith, peace, love, and joy are the order of Sundays in Advent. With faith, we deepen our spiritual walk with Spirit. The topic was darkness and what one’s thoughts and feelings were related to it. (See https://wordpress.com/post/revairin.wordpress.com/446) On the second Sunday the peace candle was lit, and I wrote more about darkness and highlighted hope that one has despite tough circumstances. See (https://wordpress.com/post/revairin.wordpress.com/449) On the third Sunday the candle for love was lit, and I continued Magic and Miracles II, writing about the healing that occurs in the silence. See (https://wordpress.com/post/revairin.wordpress.com/461) The fourth Sunday I lit the candle of Joy and wrote about how waiting can be difficult for someone and that it is an important part of the preparation for birth. See (https://wordpress.com/post/revairin.wordpress.com/464) Also, when appropriate, some people have chosen to use cleansing and releasing rituals along the way with their daily meditation.

A little history trivia there are two actual dates for the birth of Jesus: Professor Colin Humphreys wrote in the Royal Astronomical Journal that a comet around April of 5 BC was the star of Bethlehem giving us the birth date of Jesus at that time. In Proverbs 15, it says “Holiday of the nativity September 11, 3 BC”.  The planet Venus could have passed for the star on 9/11 in Revelations 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.”Most Bible scholars agree that Jesus was not born on December 25.

From Valerie Straus, December 25,2015, Why is Christmas on December 25th?, Washington Post: “By most accounts, the birth was first thought — in around 200 A.D. — to have taken place on Jan. 6. Why? Nobody knows, but it may have been the result of “a calculation based on an assumed date of crucifixion of April 6 coupled with the ancient belief that prophets died on the same day as their conception,” according to religionfacts.com. By the mid-fourth century, the birthday celebration had been moved to Dec. 25. Who made the decision? Some accounts say it was the pope; others say it wasn’t.” There is much more to the article mentioning that in the Julienne calendar the winter solstice was considered to be the 25th of December. Look it up if you want to know more.

Either way, I like that it is December 25. Most likely because I have grown up with it being that way with the faith traditions I have been a member.

Notice these next few weeks if something new has emerged in your life that has given birth. It could be a new way of living after a loss or a change of direction or finding a new job or occupation. It could be a new or deepening of a relationship with someone or something.

Enjoy the adventure, for life is an adventure to be lived, not a problem to be solved!

Magic and Miracles II

Part II

“Miracles have occurred, and will occur again, ‘out of the blue, ‘when seemingly one has done nothing to attract them. But an analysis will reveal that right conditions invariably were present, including a corresponding consciousness, self-image, and faith. p 143, Thank God for Prayer, Russell W. Lake, Unity School author

This is part II of a two-part series. I ended the first article with a story that was to be continued. I will print it again here:

There was one particular case with a woman who had Covid 19. This was in the first year of Covid. She was in the intensive care unit for over a month on a ventilator and wasn’t regaining consciousness as being in a coma. She had also chosen not to take vaccines. The outcome was not looking good. The medical team had a family meeting, but they said no to turning off life support. I had given her nurses 1Unity’s, Prayer for Protection. The nurses who felt comfortable, would read it to her when they came in to give her medications. I had briefly spoken with this woman when she first came in and had brought her a Bible that she requested. -To be Continued in Part II

There was a unity minister who taught Unity seminarians how to approach visits at a hospital. If they couldn’t see the patient as whole and complete despite what they might see, they were not to enter the room. Metaphysically, to know the truth about any person is to recognize that we are all whole and perfect children of God, worthy and deserving of our good.

Continuing the story: This patient was a woman of faith, and her family and friends were praying for and with her. The doctors had said she wouldn’t survive. She also had other health challenges she was healing before covid. The family had released her belongings and were picking out her gravestone. Then, after 60 days of being in a coma, she woke up! It was a miracle to the family. She was asked if she remembered anyone talking to her when they visited. She said yes and that she just couldn’t respond. Her son told her that her visitors would tell her to keep fighting covid.

She knew that she wasn’t out of danger, but she was beginning to breathe on her own. Her plan was to get a Covid vaccination as soon as it was appropriate. Her son hadn’t gotten vaccinated either and from that happy day forward, he had begun to advocate for getting vaccinated.

Have any of you been in a hospital room of a person in a coma or any room in the intensive care unit? Except for the hum of the lifesaving machines, it can be ominously quiet. Unity author Clara Palmer on p154, in You can be Healed, said this about the silence: “The silence is the holy peace of God active at the heart of all creation. It is the holy peace of God enfolding you in the quietness and the security of His presence.”

I learned from one of the nurses that bad things happen fast, and good things happen slowly. Saying this will bring comfort to the families when it doesn’t seem like the patient is progressing. In the process of it all, healing is happening in the silence of their being. Our timing tends to be different from God’s timing.

Then there are different forms of healing. In the process of healing, death is also a form of it. Not what any of us usually prefer it to be the outcome. There are many deaths that I have been called to where the family is relieved for the patient because it is an end to their suffering on the earth plane.

And…to the twelve-year-old child within me, Miracles can seem Magical!

Magic and Miracles I

Part I

“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
― Roald Dahl

Last week I wrote about darkness and that generally it is uncomfortable to some of us. What got my attention is that we begin our lives in the darkness of the womb and that the birth of all life comes out of darkness. A few who don’t believe the birth of Jesus ever happened see the story as fictional and written to give hope to those in a dark time. When I was present for my God daughter’s birth, it was a miraculous moment for me and one that I will never forget.

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.”
― Robert Fulghum, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten

The experience of the people in Ukraine could be considered a dark time. Over and over there are stories of hope and because they love their country and freedom, they seem to be resilient. One woman said,” Hope is what keeps me going.” Famous chefs have cooked over a million meals for refugees. There is heartache too, and that is what causes a dark time for them. Families that are separated, loved ones and homes destroyed.

Their beliefs are keeping them going. Thoughts comprise a belief that are made up of sentences that form it. This creates coming from a higher or lower perspective on surviving though the war.

So, what does magic, and miracles have to do with this? I’m glad you asked. Magic and miracles stem from hope. Hope brings about the possibility of miracles that can at times seem magical.

I don’t think that there is any one of us that hasn’t heard someone say, “I am hoping for a miracle.” I know that I have said it. A key concern in the hospital, in the world of evidence-based practice, is not to give false hope to a patient or family member. Instead, giving realistic hope would be something to strive for as in better health and quality of life despite the dis-ease that might alter life somewhat or could be healed with time.

There was one particular case with a woman who had Covid 19. This was in the first year of Covid. She was in the intensive care unit for over a month on a ventilator and wasn’t regaining consciousness. She had also chosen not to take vaccines. The outcome was not looking good. The medical team had a family meeting, but they said no to turning off life support. I had given her nurses 1Unity’s, Prayer for Protection. What thoughts do you have daily? Ones that lift you up or bring you down? What kinds of dreams have you been having? Remember, our thoughts form our beliefs.

Please post your thoughts, if you are so inclined.

Consciousness and Relationship

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.             John 1: 9-11

My credo has been, life is about consciousness and relationship. Therefore, the consciousness that you show up in dictates how the relationship unfolds. An example would be a person gets bad news before they go to work, and this affects their consciousness for the rest of the day. One always has choice in how much power they give the bad news and one can choose to begin again and have a better day.

I have always used the credo regarding humans and pets, and it didn’t occur to me until recently that it could include ‘things.’ For example, darkness was mentioned in this first week of Advent talk that Rev Pat Bessey gave. What is my relationship with darkness? What kind of consciousness do I have about it? I really had never thought about it before. I wasn’t afraid of the dark growing up and maybe it’s partly because my sister and I shared a room and slept in bunk beds. I was in the top bunk of course. We also had our flashlights and our pet cat that would sometimes sleep with us.

Light is a subject that seems to have an uplifting quality to it. Sunlight is always good therapy for someone who is depressed or sad. Generally, a topic people are more interested in talking about. The above quote from John chapter one is referring to Jesus’s birth. Historically this was a dark time for the inhabitants of Bethlehem and the surrounding towns because the Romans were occupying the area. This was like the Russian forces occupying Ukraine today. It makes perfect sense why so many people came to the birth in Bethlehem because it was a sign of hope and so much more.

Here is a perspective on looking at the darkness:

“Just like the seed that starts its life in the darkness of the soil, or the child that starts its life in the darkness of the womb, all beginnings are in the dark, because darkness is one of the most essential things for anything to begin.” p 138, OSHO, A Practical Guide to OSHO Meditations

For me, this gives darkness a better reputation. The book of meditations looks interesting, and you can preview it on google. It goes on to talk more about darkness. There are many other quotes on darkness or the dark, that I looked up and it has been helpful in reflecting on what I think about darkness.

And…I am still looking at what my relationship with darkness is. An activity we were given from Rev Pat was to set a timer for 3 minutes and write about what darkness is to you.

All the best,

Rev Airin

Quantum Physics, Vibration and Attraction

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” Nikola Tesla

How Quantum Physics explains the movement of energy and its vibration to attract things and jobs, relationships and more into our lives.

In case you weren’t aware of this, everything is energy. People, plants, rocks, furniture, cars, etc. Water’s energy has been used to propel mill wheels for cider as far back as 1863 and driving other machines earlier than that. The energy in everything is vibrating at different rates.

People can come across as calm and peaceful, anxious and all points in between. Also, dogs can be very sensitive to a person’s energy. It can cause them to be excited, or back away and sometimes growl or bark. A cat might feel an attraction to your energy and approach you when normally they stay aloof from a new person that enters their home.

Quantum Physics studies matter and energy in their most basic forms. A quantum is super tiny. For example, a quantum of light would be a photon. A quantum of electricity would be an electron. Also, Quantum Physics “is a new form of mysticism, which suggests the interconnectedness of all things and beings and the connection of our minds with a cosmic mind.” Ponte and Schafer, Carl Gustav Jung, Quantum Physics and the Spiritual Mind: A Mystical Vision of the Twenty-First Century, National Center for Biotechnology Information

Quantum Physics focuses on Quantum Mechanics which is set of principals used to explain the behavior of the particles that make up matter and energy. For example, Einstein wrote in a paper that light didn’t travel as a wave, but more in the shape of a packet of energy, several quantum forms, known as quanta. It has been discovered that all particles can travel as a wave or simply as particles.

Why include this to explain attraction? It is physical proof that all things are interconnected and in various relationships in the universe, from what is visible to what is going on beyond the naked eye. Spiritually, many of us have experienced this without the physical proof, scientifically. Our focused thought on something causes energy to condense and become matter.

“The ability to manipulate the environment thoughtfully provides the capacity to shift our vantage point, to hover above the timeline and contemplate what was and imagine what will be.”

One last important term to know is Quantum Field. Each of us is surrounded by a quantum field that can expand according to our thoughts and emotions. “Jesus of Nazareth, among other spiritual teachers, was a creative partner with universal energies; he was a quantum field worker. He understood the principles of quantum physics and used them for the good of humankind without ever having attended a class on quantum principles.” P.84, Boehm, Toni G., The Power of be!

Remember when Jesus turned the water into wine? The molecules of water were changed to molecules of wine. The same thing happened with the loaves and fishes in the Sermon on the Mount story. Also consider the story of Lazarus being healed, brought back to life from the tomb. This is scientific proof for those who need evidence.

Consider this the cliff notes spiritual version of behind the scenes, on how things can be manifested through the Law of Attraction.
