I love listening to the sound of rain! I especially enjoy the steady and gentle shower of drops on the leaves of trees. I live in the woods so it makes a beautiful sound that is very relaxing. Then, there is also the sweet smell of rain. It’s the love of mother nature in condensed form, cleansing and washing life.
According to Unity’s Revealing Word, by Charles Fillmore, the metaphysical meaning of rain is “an outpouring of Spirit that constantly refreshes and enriches man’s developing thoughts. The descent of potential ideas into substance. The rain that ‘watereth the earth’ represents the love of God when summoned.”
We’ve been having a dry summer here in Maine. It rained for an hour which was really helpful. What’s been dry in your life? Have leads for jobs ‘appeared ‘ to have dried up or has listening to the news parched your zest for living?
What seems to help you when things have dried up? My main focus this spring and summer has been to listen to the voice of Spirit. I have an intuitive teacher inside of me that I am learning to trust the guidance from. This is another ‘Sound of Rain’ for me that I love to hear. The Voice comes gently and lovingly like raindrops of four or five words. It does refresh and enrich my thoughts. The raindrop words or ideas can take form in my life from the rich substance that they came from.
A really practical example was recently. My partner’s car had been making a whining sound when you put your foot on the accelerator. The rest of the time it sounded okay. I called one of my intuitive friends to confirm my message from Spirit that it could be the transmission. Granted, now, I don’t know much about cars. How else could I know that? He said yes and that it could break down. So I decided to take it off the road and give my partner rides to work until we drove it to the appointment after the July 4th weekend.
It ended up being the serpentine pulley which basicly controls everything. Phew! Thanks to Spirit I saved myself a lot of drought by letting my mind be watered with inspration and guidance. My recommendation is to try listening to the ‘Sound of Rain’ and stop the droughts in your life!
I also really love listening to the sound of rain.
For a month or so at work I was located in an offshoot-area of my company’s building where you could hear the rain tapping on the rooftop; that was my favorite part of being in that room, when it rained.
Thanks for sharing this, Airin. See you soon!
