Winning a Large Sum of Money

Recently, I arrived home between jobs with literally time enough to let out the dogs and then change clothes. I got the mail because I was expecting a check. I not only received that one but also another one for $3,850.00. There I was trying to stay calm, yet needing to take care of the dogs, etc. so I could leave for work. The letter that came with it stated that I had won $95,000.00!

I called a friend of mine, who was a lawyer,  and left her a message. While I drove to work and awaited her call you might imagine what was going through my mind. What would be going through yours? The check was very real, drawn on a real bank. The child in me was believing it was possible.

In the Unity teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, we believe in receiving unexpected income. We have an affirmation statement that we use, “I’m expecting unexpected income,” which I had been using intermittently. I had also recently taken a Prosperity class at Unity of Greater Portland, ME. I believe that to have a prosperity consciousness that it takes ongoing maintenance such as: taking classes, using affirmations which are prayers, or reading a book on creating abundance in your life.

It is easy to get bogged down with all the messages from the outer world that are preaching doom and gloom for the economy. In fact, what if they decided to predict that everything was looking up? What could unfold from that might be fascinating to observe. At this particular point in my life, things are going great, with plenty of work for a prosperous financial flow. All the things I had pledged to do when I came into a large sum of money floated through my mind. I called my significant other who said, “I know you are floating but I’m going to stay practical right now.” I was thinking, am I floating, I guess I could be.

Another person said,”That really takes the pressure off doesn’t it? You could buy a house.” The vision of the log cabin I would like some day flashed into my mind. Meanwhile, it was back to work, trying to be present to the moment and focus. Finally my friend called back and I read her the letter. She said,”I think it’s a scam.” EEch, I really didn’t want to acknowledge that, as reality began creeping into the crevices between my thoughts.

Later on that evening, I showed it to a veteran prize winner. ”I’m sorry,” she said, “it’s a scam.” I hadn’t realized how much I was hoping it was real until that moment. Apparently, when you win money, you sign an affidavit before they send you a check. The little kid in me was bummed….

Forever believing in what’s possible, the next morning my little kid bounced back. So, I came close to knowing what it would be like to win a large sum of  money. I can not only vision it, I can also feel it. I am more than halfway there. Oh, of course, one other thing, I need to enter a contest to be eligible for a win!

I would love it if you would share your experiences in the comments.

Thanks for reading,

Airin

Listening to the Sound of Rain

I love listening to the sound of rain! I especially enjoy the steady and gentle shower of drops on the leaves of trees. I live in the woods so it makes a beautiful sound that is very relaxing. Then, there is also the sweet smell of rain. It’s the love of mother nature in condensed form, cleansing and washing life.

According to Unity’s Revealing Word, by Charles Fillmore, the metaphysical meaning of rain is “an outpouring of Spirit that constantly refreshes and enriches man’s developing thoughts. The descent of potential ideas into substance. The rain that ‘watereth the earth’ represents the love of God when summoned.”

We’ve been having a dry summer here in Maine. It rained for an hour which was really helpful. What’s been dry in your life? Have leads for jobs ‘appeared ‘ to have dried up or has listening to the news parched your zest for living?

What seems to help you when things have dried up? My main focus this spring and summer has been to listen to the voice of Spirit. I have an intuitive teacher inside of me that I am learning to trust the guidance from. This is another ‘Sound of Rain’ for me that I love to hear. The Voice comes gently and lovingly like raindrops of four or five words. It does refresh and enrich my thoughts.  The raindrop words or ideas can take form in my life from the rich substance that they came from.

A really practical example was recently. My partner’s car had been making a whining sound when you put your foot on the accelerator. The rest of the time it sounded okay. I called one of my intuitive friends to confirm my message from Spirit that it could be the transmission. Granted, now, I don’t know much about cars. How else could I know that? He said yes and that it could break down. So I decided to take it off the road and give my partner rides to work until we drove it to the appointment after the July 4th weekend.

It ended up being the serpentine pulley which basicly controls everything. Phew! Thanks to Spirit I saved myself a lot of drought by letting my mind be watered with inspration and guidance. My recommendation is to try listening to the ‘Sound of Rain’ and stop the droughts in your life!

Dreams with Messages

Two weeks ago I had a dream. I woke up after having it in the early morning, therefore it is considered a waking dream. Charles Filmore, Unity’s (unity.org) cofounder believed in the messages of waking dreams. Theoretically, your first dreams when you go to sleep are those that help you work out and let go of events from that  day.

In the dream, I was the tractor that was pulling the trailer of a semi truck. I was  driving in the wrong direction, however. All the traffic had stopped on the highway and was waiting for me to turn around. They were patient. I saw a person in a night shirt that represented each car. Once I got turned around, I was then pulling the truck up  a flight of stairs and then I awoke.

It was a pretty vivid message just like the  picture that I selected above. My initial feeling and thought was that I’m trying overcome the current challenges mostly by myself, once again. The cars on the highway, which represent those on the path of life with you, were supporting me as I turned my life around. The trailer obviously was the weight and baggage of my current challenge. The next part of the dream when I was pulling it up the stairs, I was making life more of a struggle than it needs to be. Stairs represent “one’s ascent or descent in relation to one’s life preogression or advancement.”1 I had gotten caught up on the gerbil wheel going around and around and forgetting to trust and have faith in God.

Many people have and continue to be there to support me with their unconditional love,  patience and abundance. They have employed me, written me letters of reference and most of all just listened and accepted me for who I am with the gifts and talents that I have come to earth to give. Having compassion for oneself is not easy. Today as I get over yet another cold from the stress I created, I am choosing to have compassion for myself. I know I am doing the best that I can.

Dreams have messages that are simple yet profound. It is Spirit’s way of getting your attention. As you interpret them, the key is how they felt to you and what resonates with in you. It’s helpful to keep a journal that you write them in. I incorporate them into the regular journal that I write in when I have something I want to remember.

Remember to have compassion with yourself  in whatever is happening in your life. When you surrender and let Spirit give you the next step, It knows the how, things will shift for the better in your life. Relax and have faith. Amen

New Year Note

I’ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now. I will be posting on this blog at least once per month to ideally once a week for all of 2011.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similiar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.

Feel free to check out my previous blogs.

Happy New Year,
Rev Airin

as angel light workers

Prayers of gratitude

enfolding survivors

Birthing strength and courage

Heroes every one
